Bumble Inc. agrees to be bought by Ithaca Holdings

Bumble Inc. has agreed to be bought by Ithaca Holdings. Bumble Inc. owns Bumble and Badoo.

What has been announced

Bumble Inc. said in an SEC filing on 13 October 2026 that it entered into an Agreement and Plan of Merger on 12 October with Ithaca Holdco, Inc. and other parties.

On 13 October the company also said it had entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Ithaca Holdings. It described the deal as all cash, valuing the company at $1.3 billion. Class A common shareholders will receive $6.05 per share in cash.

The sale is not complete

The merger has not yet taken place. The filing describes the merger steps as subject to the conditions in the agreement. When they happen, Bumble will survive as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ithaca.

Either side can end the agreement if the merger is not completed by 12 July 2027.

What has not been said

In its filing and press release, Bumble Inc. did not announce any changes to the Bumble or Badoo apps. That includes pricing, terms, privacy and how member data is handled.

Until the sale completes, Bumble Inc. remains the owner. Our reviews of both apps now note the pending deal, and we will update them if the owner or the apps change.
